We are delighted to announce that we are providing dedicated Menopause Consults.
'Menopause' is defined as the absence of menstrual periods for 12 months. There is a natural reduction in hormone production as a woman gets older. The average age for the last period is 51 years old but this is an average age and symptoms can be experienced much younger and older than this.
Our consults will address menopausal flushing, sleep disturbance, mental health issues, sexual problems, bone health, breast health and cardiovascular assessment and may involve a smear. The cost of this consult with a smear is €190 or €100 if smear is covered by national cervical screening program and may take up to 30 minutes.
